A Wolf Called Romeo is a cantata/ballet inspired by the wild black wolf that befriended Juneau pet dogs and their families in the winters of 2003 to 2009. In 7 movements with text of Nick Jans adapted from his book of the same name.

Flute (doubles on Piccolo), Alto Flute (doubles on Flute and Piccolo), Clarinet in Bb/A (doubles on Bass Clarinet), Eb Alto Saxophone, Contrabassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, 3 Percussionists, Harp, 2 Violins, Viola, 'Cello, and Bass Soprano and Baritone soloists and Dancers
